| Obverse description | Central field depicts a panoramic view of the historic medina and ramparts of Rabat, with the iconic Hassan Tower and surrounding cityscape rendered in fine relief. An Arabic legend arcs across the upper portion of the coin within a beaded inner border, commemorating the 800th anniversary of the founding of Rabat.
