Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Hassan II of Morocco, modelled in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features, after a portrait by engraver David Wynne. The king is depicted bare-headed and in civilian dress. An Arabic legend curves along the left field reading the king's name and title, with a second Arabic inscription along the lower right field identifying the Kingdom of Morocco. The design is framed by a dentilated border.

Reverse description Central design featuring a stylised globe rendered with meridian and parallel lines, upon which stands a detailed depiction of the Koutoubia Mosque minaret of Marrakesh, a prominent symbol of Moroccan architectural heritage. The word 'GATT' appears in Latin letters across the upper portion of the globe, with 'MARRAKECH' inscribed along the lower section of the globe. The Arabic legend of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade curves around the upper periphery, flanked by five-pointed stars. The denomination '200' in Latin numerals appears at the bottom centre, flanked by the Arabic words for 'two hundred dirhams', with the Hijri year 1414 and Gregorian year 1994 at the sides.
