| Obverse description | Central device comprises two crossed flags of Sharjah beneath a palm tree, all enclosed within a wreath of olive branches. The dual dates 1970 (Gregorian) and ١٣٨٩ (AH) appear at the center flanking the flagpoles. The legend STATE OF SHARJAH arcs along the upper left rim in Latin characters, while the Arabic legend حكومة الشارقة occupies the upper right. The denomination ٢٠٠ درهم = ٢ ريال is inscribed in Arabic below the central device, with 2 RIYALS in Latin characters at the base, and the fineness mark [1000] appears in a cartouche at the lower right. |
