背面描述 The reverse features a colored portrait composition of two prominent Central American independence figures, Miguel Larreynaga and Tomás Ruiz, rendered in full color against a decorative background. The face value '200 CÓRDOBAS' is inscribed above the portraits, while the date range '1821-2021' appears within the design, marking the bicentenary. The names 'MIGUEL LARREYNAGA' and 'TOMÁS RUIZ' are inscribed identifying the respective portraits. The outer legend reads 'BICENTENARIO DE LA INDEPENDENCIA DE CENTROAMÉRICA', arching around the design.

附加信息

Nicaragua's 200 Córdobas denomination is unusually large for everyday circulation, a denomination level that most Latin American central banks abandoned decades ago as inflationary pressure compressed the practical value of high-face-value coinage. The Banco Central introduced this commemorative circulation strike for the bicentennial of Central American independence from Spain, declared September 15, 1821 — a date shared across Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua simultaneously.

The applied coloring on the reverse, a relatively recent production technique for Nicaraguan coinage, was sourced through the same security-printing partnerships the Banco Central uses for its polymer banknote series.
