Ornate floral corner motifs and a fine latticework border complete the design. |

The 200 Baisa denomination is an oddity in Omani monetary history — baisa-denominated notes were never a standard fixture of the currency system, and this series represents one of the few sustained attempts to issue fractional-rial paper. Most transactions at that value were handled in coin, making these notes largely unpopular in daily use and frequently set aside rather than circulated.
Bradbury Wilkinson printed from their New Malden facility until the firm was absorbed by De La Rue in 1990, and this note falls within their final decade of independent operation.
