| 背面描述 | A scene in high relief depicts Polish resistance fighters sabotaging a railway line during World War II, set against a winter landscape with trees in the background. Three figures are shown in dynamic poses engaged in the act of sabotage, rendered in a realistic artistic style. The curved legend ŻOŁNIERZ POLSKI NA FRONTACH II WOJNY ŚWIATOWEJ arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription RUCH OPORU / 1939-1945 appears prominently in two lines across the upper central field. The engraver's initials appear in the lower portion of the field near the scene. |

This issue belongs to a long series of commemoratives the NBP produced through the late 1980s and 1990s honoring the Polish resistance and military campaigns of the Second World War. Poland's wartime underground state — the Polskie Państwo Podziemne — was among the most organized clandestine governments in occupied Europe, running its own courts, press, and military command beneath German occupation. The Home Army (Armia Krajowa) at its peak numbered over 400,000 members.
The .750 silver fineness is characteristic of NBP commemoratives from this period, a deliberate step down from sterling that kept production costs manageable during Poland's post-communist economic transition.
