| Additional information |
Poland's 1992 Seville Expo participation came just three years after the fall of communism, and the commemorative program surrounding it was among the first to reflect the newly privatized Mennica Polska operating under market conditions rather than state directive. This trial strike — a próba in Polish numismatic terminology — was produced in nickel rather than the issued metal as part of the approval and die-testing process. Such próby from this transitional period were typically struck in very small numbers for internal review, occasionally finding their way into collector hands through official sales.
