Obverse description Central field depicts the façade of Haw Pha Kaew temple in Vientiane rendered in fine relief, with stylized trees flanking the structure on both sides. In the foreground, two elephants face each other symmetrically before the temple entrance, symbolizing the historic Lao kingdom. The Lao-script legend arcing along the upper rim reads the name of the Bank of the Lao PDR, while the gold fineness designation 'Au 999' appears in the mid-field and the denomination '200000 Kip' is inscribed in Latin characters along the lower border.
