Obverse description At centre, the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed and talons extended — rendered in high relief within a raised inner circle against a mirror-polished field. The date 1996 is divided by the eagle's tail feathers, with '19' to the left and '96' to the right. Surrounding the inner circle, a ring of small five-pointed stars separates the central device from the outer annulus. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs across the upper portion of the annulus, while the denomination '20' in large numerals flanked by 'ZŁ' on either side appears at the base.
