Beschrijving voorzijde The Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed, facing right, set within a beaded inner circle — occupies the central field. The date 1998 is divided by the eagle's talons in the lower portion of the inner circle, with the mint mark (MW) appearing below the eagle's breast. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs around the upper periphery, separated from the inner circle by a decorative border of alternating stars and Gothic-style lobes. The denomination ZŁ 20 ZŁ is prominently displayed at the base of the coin in large numerals, flanked by the złoty abbreviations.

Beschrijving keerzijde A detailed architectural rendering of Kórnik Castle occupies the central field, depicting the Neo-Gothic facade of the castle with its characteristic central tower, pointed arched windows, battlemented parapets, and flanking wings. The background field is filled with a decorative Moorish-inspired lattice pattern of interlocking quatrefoil motifs rendered in relief, evoking the Moorish Hall interior of the castle. The legend ZAMEK W KÓRNIKU is inscribed in two lines across the lower portion of the field in a polished, mirror-finish exergue area, clearly separated from the architectural motif above.
