Issued in 1976 to mark the thirtieth anniversary of Poland's postwar budgetary legislation, this trial strike was produced by the Mennica Państwowa as part of the standard proofing process used to evaluate dies and planchet specifications before full production authorization. The PRL-era mint ran parallel proof and trial programs extensively during the 1970s, and many such pieces entered collections through official channels rather than surviving purely as internal test strikes.
The Fischer and ParM references confirm this as a recognized pattern type rather than a unique specimen — multiple examples exist, though quantities remained tightly controlled.
