| 表面の説明 | Against an intricate lace-pattern background rendered in high relief, the Polish crowned white eagle — the national arms — is depicted in the upper central field. Along the upper periphery, the legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs in colored (brown-toned) raised lettering. In the lower field, a sculpted lamb stands centrally above a palm frond and four polychrome colored Easter eggs (pisanki) — blue, gold, green, and red — each decorated with traditional folk motifs in applied color enamel. The date 2003 appears to the lower left and the denomination 20 ZŁ to the lower right. |

Śmigus-dyngus — the Polish Easter Monday tradition of dousing strangers with water — had been absorbed into Christian observance centuries earlier but retains pre-Christian, likely Slavic fertility ritual origins. The NBP's collector series documenting Polish folk customs produced this issue in 2003 as part of a broader program celebrating traditions that survived both Partition and the Soviet-era suppression of religious and folk practice.
Mintage was capped at 50,000 pieces, typical for the NBP's thematic silver collector program of that decade.
