Obverse description Predominantly ochre and brown on a guilloche underprint, with the intaglio portrait of Józef Piłsudski in military uniform at right, his name inscribed vertically along the right margin. At centre, the Polish state coat of arms — a crowned white eagle — rendered within an elaborate shield vignette. Upper left bears a holographic foil element incorporating the numeral '20' and a laurel branch in blue and green iridescent tones; below it, a colour-shifting window with a vignette of the NBP headquarters building. The date 'WARSZAWA, 16 STYCZNIA 2014 r.' is inscribed centrally, with two signature lines for the President and Chief Treasurer of Narodowy Bank Polski below the coat of arms.

Reverse description Ochre and orange diagonal guilloche underprint across the full field. At centre, a large intaglio vignette of the Virtuti Militari cross — the Polish military order — with a golden crown above and the Latin inscription 'MILITARI VIRTUTI TARI' around the central medallion bearing a white eagle. To the left, an eagle badge of the Polish Legions and crossed batons are rendered in grey intaglio. To the right, a circular regimental seal of the Legions. At far right, the polymer transparent window repeats the holographic laurel and numeral motif from the obverse, above a colour vignette of the NBP building and the NBP logotype.
