| Reverse description | The reverse, printed in vertical format, is dominated by three panels from the Gniezno Doors executed in meticulous intaglio line work, illustrating the ransoming of St. Adalbert's body from the Prussians by Bolesław the Brave, the transfer of his remains, and their interment at Gniezno; under ultraviolet light, additional scenes from the door cycles and the obverse of the Princes Polonie coin become visible. The obverse and reverse of the Princes Polonie coin from Bolesław's reign and the tip of the Lance of Saint Maurice are integrated into the design. A crown-shaped aperture cut through the substrate forms a window that reveals the gold security stripe from the obverse in normal light and shifts to blue when the note is held to transmitted light. |
