| Reverse description | A forward-facing bust portrait of the celebrated Polish poet and author Maria Konopnicka (1842–1910) occupies the central field, depicted in a three-quarter left pose with curled hair and a ruffled collar rendered in fine sculptural detail. The legend MARIA KONOPNICKA arcs along the upper periphery in evenly spaced capital letters, while the birth and death dates 1842-1910 are inscribed along the right field. The word PRÓBA (trial/pattern) appears in small letters to the right of the portrait, indicating the coin's status as a pattern strike. The reverse was engraved by Ewa Olszewska-Borys. |
