Obverse description The obverse displays the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle of the People's Republic of Poland — rendered in bold relief at the center of the field, with wings spread and head turned to the right. The eagle is depicted without a crown, consistent with the communist-era heraldic convention. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' arcs around the upper periphery in Latin characters, while the date '1984' appears in the lower exergual area flanked by raised dots. The design was engraved by Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt and the overall composition is clean and uncluttered, typical of the modernist aesthetic of Polish coinage of this period.
