Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a composite design integrating three distinct elements within the round field. To the left, a high-relief depiction of a medieval figure, interpreted as Casimir the Great, stands in profile holding a model of a building, referencing his legendary role as the king who 'found Poland built of wood and left it built of stone.' To the upper right, a faithful enlarged representation of the historical Kraków grosz of Casimir the Great is rendered in relief, showing the crowned Polish eagle on its reverse face, surrounded by the original medieval Gothic legend. In the lower center, a smaller inset circle—styled as an embedded coin—bears the crowned Polish eagle, the inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, the date 2015, and the denomination 20 ZŁ. The mintmark mw appears within the field.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a bold central depiction of the obverse face of the historical Kraków grosz of Casimir the Great, enlarged and rendered in high relief, displaying the enthroned royal bust of the king in regal attire surrounded by the original Latin medieval legend KAZIMIRVS PRIMVS DEI GRACIA REX POLONIE and GROSSI CRACOVIENSES. The background field on either side of the central medallion is filled with an intricate geometric lattice pattern referencing medieval decorative motifs. The inscription GROSZ KAZIMIERZA WIELKIEGO arcs along the upper rim, while WIELKIEGO continues along the lower right, framing the composition. The overall design evokes the historical and artistic significance of fourteenth-century Polish coinage.
