背面描述 The crowned White Eagle, the national coat of arms of the Polish People's Republic, is depicted in high relief at the centre-upper field, with wings spread and head turned to the right. The eagle is shown without the royal crown, consistent with the socialist-era heraldic convention. The circular legend 'POLSKA·RZECZPOSPOLITA·LUDOWA·1974' runs along the upper periphery from left to right, while the denomination '20 ZŁOTYCH' is inscribed in two lines in the lower field. The mint mark 'MW' (Mennica Warszawska) and the engraver's initials 'JM-N' appear in small characters at the bottom of the field.

附加信息

Issued to mark the 25th anniversary of Comecon — the Soviet-led Council for Mutual Economic Assistance founded in 1949 — this coin appeared at a moment when Polish membership in the bloc was anything but voluntary. Warsaw had been a founding member under direct Soviet pressure, its postwar government having little say in the matter. By 1974, Comecon had evolved into a mechanism for tying Eastern European economies to Soviet industrial priorities, with Poland supplying coal and manufactured goods at prices set in Moscow.
