| Reversbeschreibung | The reverse displays two principal design elements united by a selectively gilt Ottoman tughra — the imperial calligraphic monogram of a Turkish sultan — rendered in gold, occupying the right portion of the field in a bold, flowing composition. To the left, a relief depiction of a historical Polish-Ottoman commemorative coin or medal is shown in detail, featuring the Polish eagle amid ornate baroque inscriptions, symbolising the enduring diplomatic relationship between the two states. The arc legend 'POLSKA - TURCJA' appears along the upper border, with the date range '1414 - 2014' inscribed to the right, commemorating six centuries of diplomatic relations. The mirrored proof field provides strong contrast to the raised design elements. A ring of raised beads encircles the entire composition. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
Poland and the Ottoman Empire established formal diplomatic ties in 1414, a relationship driven largely by their shared interest in checking the power of the Teutonic Knights and, later, the Habsburgs. The connection proved durable enough to survive centuries of shifting European alliances — the Ottomans famously never recognized the partitions of Poland, technically maintaining the Polish state as a diplomatic fiction in Constantinople until 1919.
The selective gilding on this issue is applied to specific design elements rather than the full field, a technique Mennica Polska has used across several of its commemorative programs to distinguish thematic focal points without full gold plating costs.
