The obverse features the colorized coat of arms of the Republic of South Ossetia at center, depicting a snow leopard passant in gold and black tones against a stylized mountain landscape beneath a red sun, all within a circular cartouche. The arms are surrounded by an inner legend in Cyrillic reading РЕСПУБЛИКӔ ХУССАР ИРЫСТОН and in Russian РЕСПУБЛИКА ЮЖНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ. The denomination 20 ЗӔРИН appears in the upper field, while НАЦИОНАЛОН БАНК is inscribed prominently along the lower field. The date 2013 and fineness marks Ag 925 31,1 appear in the lower exergue below the central device. The outer border is decorated with a beaded ring and ornamental rosette motifs against a polished black field. |
