Reverse description Central depiction of an apsara (flying celestial maiden) in graceful leftward flight, derived from the Dunhuang cave mural tradition, rendered in finely detailed relief against a plain field. The figure is depicted with flowing scarves and drapery billowing dynamically around her form, consistent with the iconographic style of the Mogao Grottos frescoes. The inscription 敦煌飞天(十六窟)(Dunhuang Feitian, Cave 16) appears in the upper left field. The denomination 20 appears at lower right.
