Obverse description Central device features the Turkish State emblem comprising two stylized floral sprays enclosing the denomination '20' with the legend 'YENİ TÜRK LİRASI' arranged vertically within the wreath. A crescent and star device appears above the wreath at the top of the inner circle. The outer legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, while the date '2005' appears in the lower exergue.
