| 正面描述 | Central device depicts a traditional windmill rendered in relief, its four sails extending toward the upper portion of the field, with decorative foliage and rockwork at the base. The legend ESSAI - PATTERN - PROBE curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, indicating the piece's trial or pattern status in three languages. The date 2010 appears in the lower exergue. The overall composition is set against a smooth field with a plain rim. |

This brass piece was issued in 2010, the year Estonia locked its exchange rate to the euro in preparation for eurozone accession on 1 January 2011 — making it one of the final series struck under the Estonian kroon system before the currency was retired entirely. The kroon had itself only been reintroduced in 1992 following the collapse of the Soviet Union, giving it a lifespan of less than two decades.
