Reverse description Central device depicts a naturalistic tiger standing in profile facing left, rendered in fine detail with stripes and musculature clearly defined, standing upon rocky ground with floral vegetation in the lower field. In the upper right field, the Chinese seal-script character 寅 (the Earthly Branch associated with the Tiger in the Chinese zodiac) is presented within a square cartouche, as is traditional for seal-script inscriptions. The date 2013 appears in Arabic numerals along the lower rim. The composition commemorates the Year of the Tiger within the Chinese sexagenary cycle.
