Obverse description Central design features a finely detailed relief of the Taedong Gate (대동문), a historic multi-tiered Korean gate structure in Pyongyang, depicted with traditional bracketed eaves and a broad stone stairway set against a naturalistic landscape. The Hangul legend of the issuing authority arcs along the upper periphery of the field, while the denomination '20 WON' is inscribed in Latin characters at the base below the gate. The overall design is rendered in a matte gold-toned finish against a polished field.
