正面描述	Central field features the Shaheed Minar (Martyrs' Monument) of Dhaka, the national memorial to the Language Movement martyrs of 1952, rendered in relief. Flanking the monument are sprigs of wheat or paddy, and stylised waves appear at the base. The first two Bengali vowels (অ আ) and the first two consonants (ক খ) are inscribed above the monument in the field. The denomination '৳20' appears to the left and '৳২০' to the right of the central design, with the date '২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারী' (21st February) also present. The outer legend reads 'INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY' and '21st FEBRUARY' in Latin script.
