Obverse description Central field features the Bulgarian crowned coat of arms — a shield bearing a rampant lion, surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial — set within a beaded inner circle. The Cyrillic legend БЪЛГАРИЯ (Bulgaria) arcs across the upper periphery between two six-pointed stars, while the national motto СЪЕДИНЕНИЕТО ПРАВИ СИЛАТА (Unity Makes Strength) curves along the lower periphery. The design is rendered in a flat, low-relief style characteristic of wartime zinc coinage.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '20' appears prominently in the upper central field, with the Cyrillic inscription СТОТИНКИ (Stotinki) directly below, and the date 1917 beneath that. The central device is framed by a wreath composed of oak branches on the left and laurel or olive branches on the right, tied at the base with a floral ornamental bow featuring rose blossoms. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design.
