Obverse description Central device features the Bohemian double-tailed lion rampant, rendered in bold relief in the Art Deco style characteristic of Španiel's work. The legend REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ is arranged in a distinctive radial format around the lion, with individual letters dispersed at intervals across the field. The date 1920 appears in the lower portion of the field, flanked by a small mint mark below. The overall design reflects the artistic sensibility of the newly founded Czechoslovak Republic.

Reverse description Central motif consists of a sheaf of wheat ears tied at the base with a decorative ribbon, rendered in fine relief against a lightly striated field suggestive of radiating sun rays. To the left of the sheaf, the denomination numeral '20' is boldly struck in large digits. A stylized ornamental flourish and additional foliate elements accompany the lower portion of the sheaf. The composition is restrained and elegant, reflecting the agrarian symbolism favored in early Czechoslovak coinage design.
