背面描述 A classical allegorical figure of Liberty is depicted standing, holding a Phrygian cap aloft on a staff in one hand and a heraldic shield in the other, with a laurel branch on a pedestal at her side. The design is executed in a neoclassical style consistent with 19th-century South American republican coinage. The legend VEINTE SOLES ORO arcs along the upper periphery, while the fine gold weight GRS. 8.42528 DE ORO FINO and the word LIBERTAD appear within the field, and the date is inscribed in the lower portion.

附加信息

Peru's 20 Soles Oro gold piece was part of a coinage system anchored to the sol de oro, a currency unit introduced in 1931 to replace the libra peruana following the country's monetary reorganization after the Great Depression. The design and specifications were held consistent across nearly four decades of production, which itself reflects how stable — by Andean standards — Peru's mid-century finances remained compared to neighbors like Bolivia and Chile, both of whom underwent significant currency revaluations during the same period.

KM#229 spans a long production window, and individual year issues vary considerably in mintage. The 1965 and 1966 dates are notably scarcer in high-surviving populations.
