Obverse description Central intaglio vignette of a seated allegorical female figure representing Justice, holding scales and a sword, surrounded by symbols of commerce, agriculture, and war including cannons, a cornucopia, and draped flags, printed in black on a green guilloche underprint. Denomination numeral '20' appears in ornate counters at upper left and upper right, with 'Veinte Soles' in bold Gothic script repeated on both flanks. The denomination 'Veinte Soles' and numerals '20' are repeated in the top and bottom panel borders, with the printer's imprint 'American Bank Note Company, New York' at the lower margin.
