Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Vittorio Amedeo III facing right, with powdered hair tied in a queue with a ribbon at the nape of the neck, dressed in a draped coat with ruffled collar. The mint date appears in the exergue below the bust truncation. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads VICT·AMED·D·G·REX·SARD·, abbreviating his royal title as King of Sardinia by the Grace of God.
