| 正面描述 | Central field bears the Somali national coat of arms, depicting a heraldic shield charged with a five-pointed star and supported on either side by two leopards rampant, with crossed palm fronds and a ribbon scroll at the base. The legend SOMALI REPUBLIC arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals, and the date 2013 appears in the lower field beneath the arms. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |

Somalia's wildlife series coinage of the 2010s was produced under licensing arrangements common to many nominal issuers — the coins were almost certainly struck by a European mint on contract, with Somalia lending its name to a collectible series rather than producing coins for domestic circulation. The shilling had long ceased to function as a practical currency by this point, the country having gone without a functioning central bank for over two decades following the 1991 collapse of the Barre government.
