| Obverse lettering | گشت صاحب سکه از توفیق رب المشرقین کلب درگاه امیرالمؤمنین سلطان حسین ضرب اصفهان ۱۱۱۲ (Translation: `In this world, Sultan Husayn, the dog at the threshold of the commander of the believers (i.e., `Ali b. Abi Talib), became master of the die, by the grace of the Lord of the Two Easts.`) |
| Reverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing the Shi'ite kalima and the names of the twelve Shi'ite Imams rendered in Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in concentric registers filling the entire field. The uppermost register features a prominent stylized 'Allah' motif with radiating vertical strokes, flanked by scrolling arabesque ornaments. A fine dotted border encircles the outer edge of the coin. The deeply engraved legends affirm Twelver Shi'ite orthodoxy, consistent with Safavid religious coinage conventions. The overall composition is dense and devotional in character, with floral rosettes punctuating the interstices between the registers. |
