Obverse description The oval shield of Zürich — per bend sinister, the lower half horizontally lined — is displayed at center within an elaborate baroque cartouche featuring scrolling acanthus foliage, volutes, and a floral finial at the apex, all enclosed within a raised inner circle. A laurel festoon draped from the lower flanks of the cartouche adds further ornamental richness to the composition. The denomination '20·SCHIL·' appears in the lower field beneath the cartouche, separated from the legend by a plain dividing line. The circular Latin legend MONETA REIPUBLICÆ TURICENSIS runs along the upper periphery within the border.
