The Georgenberger Handfeste of 1186 was a succession treaty signed between the dying Duke Ottokar IV of Styria and Duke Leopold V of Austria, effectively merging Styria into the Babenberg domains upon Ottokar's death. It is one of the oldest surviving constitutional documents in the German-speaking world, and the original parchment is still held in the Styrian provincial archive in Graz.
