Obverse description	The obverse is dominated by an intaglio portrait of Mahatma Gandhi in three-quarter right profile at centre, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint. The Ashoka Pillar emblem appears at lower left, with the Reserve Bank of India seal at lower right, and the denomination numeral 20 together with the rupee symbol ₹ are integrated into the underprint. Bilingual legends in Hindi and English run across the upper and lower registers.
