| Obverse description | The right half of the note is occupied by a detailed intaglio vignette of the Moonstone of Anuradhapura, a celebrated ancient semi-circular carved threshold stone rendered in reddish-brown tones, with the label 'MOONSTONE ANURADHAPURA' inscribed below in three scripts. The left portion carries a large circular watermark reserve zone set against an intricate multicolour guilloche underprint of floral and lotus motifs in orange, green and pink, with the denomination numerals '20' in each corner. The date, two manuscript signatures and trilingual authority text appear in the central field. |
