| Descripción del anverso | Central device depicts two children, a girl and a boy, seated together on a crescent moon and reading an open book, rendered in high relief against an oxidized, star-spangled field evoking a night sky. Four six-pointed stars are distributed symmetrically around the central group. The Belarusian State coat of arms is positioned at the top of the field above the children. The circular legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs around the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters, while the denomination ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ curves along the lower border, with the date 2006 inscribed in the lower field beneath the central motif. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse presents an elaborate, intricately engraved composition evoking the four seasons, featuring swirling foliate and floral motifs including a large chrysanthemum or dahlia bloom at upper left, stylised flame-shaped leaves at centre, and scrolling Art Nouveau-inspired botanical elements at right, all executed in antique-finish oxidized silver relief. At the centre of the design, a round amber-coloured synthetic crystal cabochon is inlaid within a flame-petal setting, serving as the focal point of the composition. Snowflake motifs are engraved in the upper right field, alluding to winter. The Cyrillic legend ДВАНАЦЦАЦЬ МЕСЯЦАЎ (Twelve Months) is inscribed along the left and lower periphery of the coin. |

Part of Belarus's extensive commemorative program of the mid-2000s, this issue belongs to a series illustrating the folk calendar cycle — a subject with particular resonance in a country where Soviet-era cultural policy had actively suppressed pre-Christian Slavic traditions for decades. The National Bank leaned heavily into cultural rehabilitation themes during this period, producing dozens of silver commemoratives aimed squarely at the collector market rather than circulation.
The oxidized finish with inset synthetic crystal was a production technique licensed through foreign minting partners, as the Belarusian state mint lacked the equipment domestically.
