| 正面描述 | The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus is displayed in high relief at the upper portion of the field, encircled by the Cyrillic legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ along the upper periphery. At center, a decorative spiral motif composed of rhythmically repeating fractal elements evokes a sense of kinetic movement, alluding to the dance theme of the series. The denomination 20 РУБЛЁЎ appears at the bottom of the field, flanked by the year of issue 2012 to the left and the alloy fineness designation Ag 925 to the right. |

Belarus issued a series of silver coins in the early 2010s dedicated to partner dances, of which this is one piece. The tango itself originated in the working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Montevideo in the late 19th century, drawing from African candombe rhythms, Cuban habanera, and the milonga — a hybrid that the Argentine upper classes initially found scandalous before European adoption reversed that stigma entirely.
The .925 specification and 28.28g weight place this squarely in the global commemorative silver standard pioneered by the Royal Mint and widely adopted for collector issues from the 1990s onward.
