Issued as part of Belarus's long-running Rivers of Belarus commemorative series, this piece honors the Don River — a waterway that, while historically and commercially vital to Russia, only briefly touches Belarusian territory near the country's southeastern border. The National Bank produced numerous issues in this silver format throughout the 2000s and 2010s, several of which now trade well above face value in secondary markets due to limited mintages typically ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 pieces.
