Aanvullende informatie

Part of Belarus's long-running wildlife series, this issue was released when the National Bank was aggressively expanding its commemorative program to attract foreign collector markets — a revenue strategy that produced hundreds of distinct silver types in the 2000s and 2010s. The embedded Swarovski crystals, supplied under a licensing arrangement, were a recurring device used across multiple Belarusian issues of this period to boost perceived value and retail price points well above melt.

The squirrel series had particular traction in Asian collector markets, where Belarusian wildlife coins found an unlikely but consistent buyer base throughout the late 2000s.
