| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field of the reverse features a finely detailed high-relief portrait of Queen Nefertiti, closely modelled after the celebrated painted limestone bust preserved in the Neues Museum, Berlin, presenting her in three-quarter profile with her distinctive flat-topped crown. To the left of the portrait, a Cyrillic inscription reads Царыца Неферціці, identifying the subject as Queen Nefertiti. The alloy standard Ag 925 is inscribed in the lower right corner, attesting to the sterling silver composition of the issue. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Belarus issued a long-running series of silver commemoratives themed around the ancient world, and this piece falls within that program. Nefertiti's appearance on Belarusian coinage has no particular political logic — she's there because the series sold well to European collectors, and Egyptian subjects reliably move inventory at coin fairs.
The famous painted limestone bust of Nefertiti, excavated at Amarna in 1912 by a German team led by Ludwig Borchardt, has been the subject of a repatriation dispute between Egypt and Germany for over a century. Egypt has never stopped demanding its return from Berlin's Neues Museum.
