| 正面描述 | The obverse features the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus at the top center, flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork at the lower left and right of the field. A central rectangular vignette reproduces a woodcut-style illustration depicting a harvest scene with multiple figures engaged in agricultural labor, rendered in an archaic engraving style reminiscent of early printed book illustrations. The year '2016' appears in the left field and the fineness mark '925' in the right field, flanking the central vignette. The legend 'РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ' arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination '20 РУБЛЁЎ' is inscribed along the lower rim. |

Francisk Skorina, the Belarusian polymath and physician, printed the first book in the East Slavic tradition in Prague in 1517 — a translation of the Psalter into a language his own people could read. He later established a printing house in Vilnius around 1522, making him a foundational figure in both Belarusian cultural history and the broader history of Slavic typography. The Padova stop on this "Skorina's Way" series references his time studying at the University of Padua, where he earned a doctorate in medicine in 1512 after famously defending his examination before a panel skeptical of admitting a foreigner.
