Aanvullende informatie

Belarus launched an extensive sports-themed commemorative series in the mid-2000s, timed loosely around international athletic events and aimed squarely at the thematic collector market rather than circulation. Cycling was an unusual inclusion — the sport has never had significant competitive infrastructure in Belarus compared to its neighbors — suggesting the selection was driven by series completeness rather than national athletic pride.

KM#359 is one of several dozen issues from this period sharing identical technical specifications, produced at the Bieloruski mint in Minsk.
