| Reverse description | The reverse presents a detailed architectural rendering of the main building of Belarusian State University, depicted in a realistic engraved style occupying the lower two-thirds of the field, with a fir tree in the foreground to the right of the facade. In the upper portion of the field, a stylized centennial logo incorporating the numeral 100 is prominently displayed alongside a decorative feather or quill motif to its left. The Cyrillic inscription БЕЛАРУСКІ ДЗЯРЖАЎНЫ УНІВЕРСІТЭТ is arranged in three lines to the right of the centennial emblem, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the institution. The composition conveys an academic and architectural solemnity appropriate to a commemorative issue. |

Belarusian State University, founded in 1921, is the country's oldest and largest university — its centennial in 2021 prompted a modest run of commemorative issues of which this is one. BSU was established by Soviet decree as part of a broader push to institutionalize higher education across the newly consolidated republics, opening its doors in Minsk with fewer than 200 students.
