| Beschrijving voorzijde | The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus occupies the central field, depicted in high relief against a mirror-polished background. The arms feature a radiant sun rising over a globe, flanked by wheat sheaves and a clover on the left and a flax plant on the right, bound with a ribbon in the colours of the national flag, and surmounted by a five-pointed star. The shield bears the inscription РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ. The legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 20 РУБЛЁЎ and date 2012 appear in the lower field. The fineness mark Ag 925 is inscribed to the lower left, and the rim is decorated with a repeating ornamental chain motif. |

Belarusbank — formally Savings Bank of the Republic of Belarus — is the country's largest retail bank by assets and depositor base, founded in its Soviet incarnation in 1922. This coin is one of dozens of Belarusian commemorative silver issues produced during the early 2010s, a period when the National Bank aggressively expanded its collector coin program following the ruble's catastrophic devaluation in 2011, when the currency lost roughly half its value against the dollar in a single month.
