| Reverse description | The reverse presents a panoramic commemorative composition celebrating the Treaty on the Formation of the Community of Russia and Belarus signed on 2 April 1996. The upper portion of the field features a stylized decorative flourish framing the multi-line Cyrillic inscription Договор об образовании сообщества России и Беларуси in flowing script. To the upper left appears the double-headed eagle emblem of Russia, and to the upper right the coat of arms of Belarus. The lower field depicts a sweeping cityscape incorporating the Moscow Kremlin with its characteristic towers and an Orthodox church on the left, and a modernist urban skyline with an obelisk on the right, the two scenes symbolically united. The date 2 АПРЕЛЯ 1996 is inscribed in the lower exergue, commemorating the signing of the treaty. |
