| Opmerkingen |
The 20 Ringgit denomination has an awkward history in Malaysian currency. It was reintroduced into the series partly to fill a gap in practical transaction values, but it never achieved the circulation velocity of the 10 or 50 Ringgit notes and remained something of an oddity in everyday commerce throughout its run.
Thomas De La Rue's production of this series is unremarkable by their standards, though the security thread specification here predates the windowed thread technology De La Rue would later deploy for subsequent Malaysian issues. The embedded thread on P#30 is a straight continuous type.
