Opis awersu	Brown on orange, lilac and multicolour underprint. Central vignette of a Persian carpet design with a shepherd and ram; the Shah's portrait at right is obscured by a solid arabesque overprint applied following the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Guilloche patterns and floral ornamental borders frame the composition throughout.

Opis rewersu	Printed in red on white paper, the reverse carries a large intaglio vignette of the Amir Kabir Dam near Karaj, set within a dramatic mountain gorge with the dam wall, penstocks, and powerhouse rendered in fine line engraving. Ornate floral cornerpieces and guilloche border panels frame the design, with the denomination numeral '20' in star medallions at each corner.
