| Obverse description | Central field displays the national emblem of Oman — two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid on two crossed swords — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. An inner beaded border encloses the emblem, flanked by the denomination '20 RIALS' in Latin characters to the left and '٢٠ ريال' in Arabic to the right. The legend 'SULTANATE OF OMAN' appears along the lower inner border in Latin script, while the upper arc carries the Arabic legend 'البنك المركزي العُماني' (Central Bank of Oman) and 'سلطنة عُمان' (Sultanate of Oman).
